Description: Some background information about the projects.
The short term, is a period ranging from two to three weeks where people of different background live and work together on a community project identified by BOVCCU. We organise national and international Workcamps in which you have the possibility of meeting people from different nations and Ugandans from different places.
The Mid term exchange aims at providing opportunities for qualified and skilled volunteers, but not necessarily with long time practical experience to work with Ugandan community projects or established institutions. The placement will range from one to twelve months.
Permanent projects Where ever BOVCCU has more than 25 members in a given community, a BOVCCU branch/project is formed. These members are responsible for running community development projects. Then the BOVCCU secretariat mobilises volunteers to assist these projects. However, it is the responsibility of the branch members to sight essential projects and to make follow-up on them. The projects that BOVCCU members run range from agriculture, education, health, community centres, etc. The members assist in building such vital infrastructure through offering voluntary labour.
Qualifications: There is no much qualifications necessary however a volunteer should have interest in the programme. Submission of the available qualification documents is an added advantage.
